Who we are

Tea for people who move.

Cloudline exists to support people who are chasing goals, solving real problems, and striving to show up as their best selves — on the trail, at work, and throughout the long arc of their ambitions. Cloudline grows tea for people who move — physically, mentally, and forward.

Founders

A runner and a cultivator.

Cloudline is built by two people at opposite ends of the same story — someone who spends long days on the trail, and someone who spends them at the farm.

Vic Yang

Ultramarathoner and performance coach. More than fifty completed marathons and ultras. Cloudline started where his training did — looking for a caffeine source that behaved the way the body wanted it to on long efforts.

He spent years drinking tea before and after races, and eventually couldn't find one he trusted. So he built one.

Jerry Lin

Cultivation Lead

Jerry Lin

Master's in tea cultivation. University professor who trains farmers in organic leadership across Taiwan. Jerry manages every Cloudline farm — from leaf selection through drying.

He treats every lot like a piece of scientific work, because it is one.

The micro-farm

Our tea comes from a single cooperative on Alishan — a high-elevation microclimate in central Taiwan where daily fog and cool nights slow the leaf down. Environmental stress is what concentrates the chemistry.

Every lot is hand-harvested at first flush, kept whole through drying, and tracked back to the plot it was picked from. We know every terrace by name.

The discipline

Scientific rigor meets traditional craft.

Jerry applies decades of tea-cultivation research to a farm that still processes by hand. Leaves are sorted, withered, rolled, and dried in small batches according to traditional timing — measured against modern metrics for moisture, oxidation, and leaf integrity.

Every batch is third-party tested for pesticides, heavy metals, and microbial safety before we'll put our name on it.

Cloudline's team includes athletes, founders, venture investors, investment bankers, and operators — people who share a commitment to discipline, long-term thinking, and doing quiet work that compounds.

We drink the same tea we grow. We don't sell anything we wouldn't reach for before a long run.

Certified Organic

Single ingredient. Fully traceable. Third-party verified.

Our tea is made with a single ingredient: Certified Organic Camellia sinensis. It is grown and certified to the stringent standards of the Taiwan Organic Agriculture Promotion Act.

We are currently working with our USDA-accredited certifier, Oregon Tilth, to secure our full U.S. import and handling certification.
